Tessera 23840-3. Cortijo de los Robles (Jaén, Spain)
Black tessera belonging to the Roman mosaic of the pars urbana of the Cortijo de los Robles villa (Jaén, Spain). Raman analysis shows the presence of calcite (CaCO3). X-ray fluorescence analysis indicates a majority concentration of Ca (89.46 wt%). The raw material used in its production was limestone.
